Inpatient Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant opening in Rapid City, SD Full-Time Inpatient Gastroenterology 40 Hours No OR RequirementA hospital-based Gastroenterology service in Rapid City, South Dakota is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient GI care in a physician-supervised setting.Opportunity Highlights:

• Full-time Gastroenterology APP role
• Inpatient practice setting
• Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage gastroenterology patients
• Manage selected at-risk or complex patients in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
• Order appropriate tests, procedures, and therapies in collaboration with medical staff
• May perform procedures within scope of practice
• May provide first-assist coverage as needed
• No operating room requirement
• No ED or unassigned call requirement
• May share in practice call requirements
• Provide referrals or transfer patients when appropriate
• Complete thorough and timely documentation
• Regular full-time position with 40 scheduled weekly hours
• Physician-supervised practice model

Candidate Requirements:
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• South Dakota Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification required
• Wyoming CNP or PA certification may be required if coverage includes Wyoming practice locations
• 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
• 1+ year of healthcare experience preferred
• Gastroenterology experience preferred
• Inpatient, hospital medicine, internal medicine, GI, or procedural APP experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
