Job Opportunity Position Overview This is a variable shift position with possibilities for both day and night shifts, featuring 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) after an initial week of orientation. Job Responsibilities
- Provide care for laboring mothers.
- Assist with the delivery process.
- Administer immediate care to newborns.
- Deliver post-delivery care for mothers.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and delivery.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems, specifically Meditech.
- Experience with fetal monitoring systems, particularly GE/Centricity.
- Active State of Hawaii nursing license (required prior to the start date).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required).
- STABLE certification (recommended).
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) certification (recommended).
- Variable day and night shifts possible.
- 12-hour shifts (36 hours weekly) following the first week of orientation.
- Scheduling includes at least one 12-hour call per month.
- No guarantee of hours or shift preference.
- Labor and Delivery Unit: 8 labor beds.
- Postpartum Unit: 18 beds.
