Job Overview:
In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. You will review and analyze multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Additionally, you will contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of functional policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to meet deliverables. Collaboration and consultation with client personnel will be a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Consult on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact.
• Analyze and resolve multi-faceted software engineering challenges.
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel to meet deliverables.
• Support RAPU (Regulatory and Policy Updates) initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a policy governance platform with a growing user base.
• Work on multiple parallel initiatives involving full-stack Java development, including Angular UI, REST APIs, and SQL databases.
• Focus on Angular front-end development, with additional expertise in either REST APIs or SQL databases.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development methodologies and monthly release cycles.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development using Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, RESTful APIs, JDBC, JPA, and Unit Testing frameworks.
• 6+ years of experience developing responsive and scalable user interfaces using Angular.
• 3+ years of experience in SQL Server database development, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of J2EE architecture, object-oriented design principles, and industry-standard design patterns.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and supporting microservices-based applications.
• Experience implementing and supporting DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and team collaboration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across development, QA, product, and operations teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

• 1+ year of experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, GitHub Copilot Agent, or Devin.
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, or Grafana.
