RN - Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of 4x10-hour days from 06:30 AM to 05:00 PM. On-call coverage is required to manage off-shift and weekend responsibilities, with a 30-minute response time required during on-call periods. Holiday availability is also necessary.

The Interventional Radiology Nurse will provide specialized nursing care in the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology settings. This role requires a proficient understanding of radiology procedures, patient management, and postoperative care related to interventional radiology. Candidates must be prepared to care for COVID patients and work in a tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing evaluations and assessments for patients undergoing interventional procedures.
• Assist the interventional radiology team with procedural preparations and patient monitoring.
• Administer medications and manage patient care during and after procedures.
• Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, outcomes, and post-operative care.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in clinical practice.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is preferred.
• Must be willing to float and cover additional shifts as needed.
• Candidates must hold a valid nursing license without any hits.
