Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to provide an exceptional shopping experience while supporting daily store operations. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Follow established procedures and complete tasks assigned by management.


• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store and merchandise displays.


• Learn about new merchandise and product placement throughout the store.


• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and attentive manner.


• Help customers locate products, answer questions, and provide recommendations when appropriate.


• Assist with checkout procedures to ensure accurate and efficient customer transactions. • Maintain proper merchandise displays and ensure products meet quality standards.


• Report damaged, missing, or misplaced merchandise to management. • Communicate customer feedback and concerns to management.


• Lift and move bags of clothing, boxes, and small furniture items as needed.


• Assist with donation intake and processing.


• Sort, hang, tag, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.


• Previous experience in retail, warehouse operations, furniture delivery, moving, or thrift store operations is preferred but not required.


• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.


• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.


• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.


• Professional and respectful communication with customers, donors, volunteers, and coworkers.


• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.


• Ability to take initiative and work successfully in a team environment. • Creativity and an eye for merchandising and product presentation.


• Marketing or related educational background is a plus.
