Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off OR 5/8: Employees work 8 hours per day, 5 days a week (7am start time)

Job Description

L3Harris is seeking someone to join our Jefferson Road Operations Center (JROC) facility in Henrietta, NY, and become an integral part of a team dedicated to producing cutting-edge tactical communications products. This 1st shift Receiving Inspector role offers either a typical 5/8 work schedule or flexible 9/80 schedule. This opportunity entails inspection of a wide variety of part categories (electronic components, boards, fabrication, etc.), all supporting mission critical manufacturing. If you have a keen eye for detail, a mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with measurement instruments and computer systems, this position is perfect for you.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for performing inspections, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming purchased parts, materials & equipment used in the manufacture of L3Harris product.
• Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials and recording quality results.
• Compares quantity and part number of items received with procurement data and other specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy of order.
• Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and other documentation, to approve or reject incoming materials using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements.
• Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
• Mechanical aptitude desired.
• Inspection results are documented electronically, so computer proficiency is required.
• Must have good English written and verbal communication skills.
• Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift (up to 12 hours).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant inspection experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related inspection experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Ability to use measurement equipment and tools (Calipers, Ohm Meters, Magnification Aids, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret Mechanical and Electrical drawings and specifications.
• Computer Proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of IPC-600, IPC-620 standards, is a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $18.27 - $33.65. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
