One of our clients is looking for EMC Compliance Engineer in Irvine, CA. (Onsite Position)

Title: EMC Compliance Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA. (Onsite Position)

Duration: 12 Months

C2C or W2 Only

We are seeking an experienced EMC Compliance Engineer to lead and execute EMI/EMC and Environmental Compliance testing activities for avionics products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RTCA DO-160G compliance testing , troubleshooting, qualification, and certification processes within the aerospace/avionics industry.

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute RTCA DO-160G compliance testing for avionics products.
Perform and support EMI/EMC, Environmental, and Safety Compliance testing .
Analyze test failures, perform root cause investigations, and drive corrective actions.
Coordinate and support product qualification and certification activities.
Prepare test documentation, compliance reports, and certification packages.
Work with engineering teams to ensure designs meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
Support submissions and interactions with regulatory and certification bodies, including FCC and other relevant agencies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
5+ years of hands-on experience in EMC/EMI and Environmental Compliance testing.
Avionics industry experience is required.
Strong experience with RTCA DO-160G EMI/EMC and Environmental testing .
Experience performing compliance testing, troubleshooting, and qualification activities.
Experience with Safety Compliance testing.
Understanding of certification and regulatory submission processes, including FCC and other compliance bodies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with wireless product compliance testing , including WiFi, Cellular, or NFC technologies.
Experience with international compliance standards such as LVD, RED, and EMCD .
Experience supporting multiple product certifications and regulatory approvals.
