Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Dassel-Cokato Schools is searching for a speech-language pathology assistant to provide therapy in the school setting for students who qualify for special education services with speech and/or language concerns. This position will support speech-language needs in the Dassel-Cokato school district, building(s) to be determined.


Duties

• Perform professional work assessing individuals
• Deliver instructional and clinical services to individuals
• Work with small groups of students with speech and language impairments
• This position will provide these services within a variety of settings, including general education and special education settings

Qualifications:

• Current MN Speech-Language Assistant (SLPA) certification
• Strong desire to work with children with special needs in an educational setting
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of due process procedures, including evaluation procedures and writing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary is based upon training and experience.
