RN - ER Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care or medical-surgical telemetry License: Must have state license or compact in hand at time of submission Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: Experience with patient ratios of 6:1 Must be open to floating within scope to meet facility needsOpen to accommodating block schedulePrevious charge experience preferred Description:The role involves caring for patients admitted and waiting for bed availability.Patients may be in a designated area or possibly in the hallway.If there are no patients being boarded, the nurse may work in an acute care area, although this should be rare.The nurse will work every other weekend and some holidays.The ability to quickly respond to the needs of patients in the emergency department is essential.Skills in charting, particularly with the designated system, are preferred.Two references are required for submission. #J-18808-Ljbffr
