Electrical Apprentice Instructor

The Technical Training Consultant is responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of learning and development technical and/or trade-related training and services. This includes coordinating and facilitating technical and trade-related classes, designing and developing technical and trade-related curriculum, conducting jobsite audits, and providing on‑site coaching and training. The candidate must be proficient with a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, familiar with audiovisual equipment, possess strong technical knowledge in electrical and specialty systems contractor fields, and ideally understand adult educational principles and theory. Confidentiality is essential for this position. Responsibilities Effectively facilitate electrical apprenticeship, QuickStart, and trade-related training classes. Collaborate with the Apprenticeship Team to research, recommend, develop, pilot, and implement new technical and trade-related training and development programs. Design and develop technical and trade-related curriculum based on organizational needs. Conduct jobsite or on‑site coaching and development for employees related to audits or new work scenarios. Develop relationships with operational leaders to foster open dialogue and trust. Support and guide the Apprenticeship Coordinator in coordinating apprenticeship programs as needed. Work with the L&D team and subject‑matter experts to continuously improve content, activities, and delivery of technical and trade-related programs. Continuously increase knowledge of the L&D craft. Actively participate in professional and trade-related organizations. Demonstrate acceptance of company values, adherence to professional standards, and ability to model these standards to trainees. Show approachability and effective collaboration and influence skills. Qualifications Education: Completion of an apprenticeship program or an associate or bachelor’s degree. Experience: Strong technical background with 5 years of related experience in electrical, specialty systems, or related trades and 1 to 2 years of facilitation experience. Travel: Up to 25%. Work schedule: Typical work hours are between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday–Friday, but work may be performed at any time to meet business needs. Confidentiality is essential for this position.
