Dailychallengesandgoals: Tieandplacerebar,wiremesh,post-tensioningcables,etc.(rod-busting). Assemblewoodenormetalconcreteforms,ties,andshoring. Pour,vibrate,andfinishconcretefoundations,walls,stairs,andsmallslabs. WorkcloselywithprojectSuperintendents,Foremen,andLaborers. Ensureconstructionsafetyregulationstoworkinasafeworkenvironment. Readblue-prints(constructiondrawings)andmeasuringinstruments. Useasequenceofstraightedges,bullfloats,mopsandhighwaystraightedges,floatblades,comboblades,handtools,sledgehammer,handsaws,powerdrills,saws,lasers,finishblades,etc. Establishcrossslopesandacceptabletolerancesofsidewalks,ADAramps,curbs,driveways,andotherconcretestructures. Patchandrepairconcreteslabwork,andconcretejointtreatments. WhatdoyouneedtosucceedinthisRole? 5+yearsofconcretecarpentry,equipmentoperationandmaintenance,rod-busting,concreteformwork,andpouringconcrete. Physicallyfittoclimb,stand,kneel,reach,walk,bend,balance,andsquatforprolongedperiodsoftime. Abilitytolift,push,carryandpullupto50lbs. Abilitytooperateaskidsteerandtelehandler. Abilitytooperatetotalstation,layoutandfieldengineeringisaplus. AbilitytocommunicateeffectivelyinSpanish/Englishlanguage. Driver’slicenseisaplus.
