Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Critical Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4 shifts per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care (ICU) and progressive care (PCU) setting, floating between both units as needed
• Manage and titrate vasoactive and sedation drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, Precedex, propofol, Cardene, nitroglycerin, Neo-Synephrine, and dopamine
• Care for high-acuity patients including post-CABG, post-PCI cardiac patients, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure
• Monitor patients via bedside monitors and unit monitor bank; interpret cardiac rhythm strips as needed
• Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, and respiratory therapy staff present on unit
• Adhere to unit dress code (navy blue scrubs) and complete unit-specific orientation on both ICU and PCU

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Prior critical care nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to titrate vasoactive and sedation drips independently
• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays based on unit coverage needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for progressive care (step-down) patients in addition to ICU-level patients
• Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment including mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, and Airvo high-flow systems
• Experience working in a float or multi-unit capacity
