PRN Patient Transport Driver – Overview

MidWest Eye Center is seeking a PRN Patient Transport Driver to provide safe and timely transportation for patients at our Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky locations.

This is a PRN position with scheduling based on staffing needs and no guaranteed minimum hours. The driver will use company‑owned vehicles and is required to maintain a clean car and safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip.
• Pick up clients from the requested location at the scheduled time.
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions.
• Adjust route to avoid heavy traffic or road construction as needed.
• Ensure that all car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a driver.
• A valid driver's license.
• A clean driving record.
• Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50).
• Familiarity with GPS devices.
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods.
• A polite and professional disposition.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g., at rush hour).
• A high school diploma.
