Senior Water Resources Engineer
Seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead hydraulic design, manage teams, and drive business development within a growing transportation-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a seller-doer, developing new and existing client relationships
- Lead hydraulic design for stream crossings, drainage, and erosion control
- Manage hydrologic & hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) for bridges and culverts
- Oversee preparation of MOA, CLOMR, and LOMR submittals
- Manage team workload, schedules, and staff development
- Lead project scoping, fee development, and contract negotiations
- Support proposals, marketing efforts, and public presentations
- Provide QA/QC oversight and mentor junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (or related)
- 10+ years of progressive hydraulic design experience
- PE license (NC or ability to obtain quickly)
- Strong experience with HEC-RAS and FEMA regulations
- Background in drainage, stormwater, and erosion control design
- Knowledge of DOT standards and project workflows
