We are currently seeking a new team member for Purchasing & Production Planning to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of our production activities. : Purchaser & Production Planner

Objectives: Streamline efficiency and effectiveness of production activities. Maintain and upgrade the production environment including assembly processes and procedures.

Description:

• Administers production & purchasing personnel activities to ensure timely completion of product batches. Coordinates training of new and updated procedures, and maintains associated records.
• Distributes sales orders, manages production staff work load levels. Creates reports on manufacturing resource utilization.
• Conducts Post Production Critique meetings and ensures all action items are closed in support of ongoing production activities.
• Assures that non-conforming product in production is quarantined and appropriately handled. Works with Quality and Engineering to close non-conformities.
• Purchases inventory items at the best possible price and in a timely manner as required to keep production going. Coordinates and manages inbound freight and associated costs.
• Receives parts from vendors, assures accuracy of product and count. Assures received parts comply with the quality system's requirements for received parts. Maintains receiving inspection part file records.
• Key partner to Quality in the supplier management and receiving inspection quality assurance program. Conducts supplier audits, coordinates supplier surveys, etc.
• Manages the transition of new products from product development to production including assigning personnel to appropriate assembly tasks.
• Works with B.O.M. inventory software records in the ERP system, including entering and maintaining product records in the ERP for instruments, accessories and cuffs. Complete inventory control including; inventory count, generation of purchase orders, proper recording of materials received, processes packing slips and invoices. Works with Accounts Payable on receipt of goods and invoice processing.
• Works with Engineering and Quality on design changes to optimize the implementation of such changes and maintain quality control of material.
• Responsible for organization and storage of all inventory parts and finished products. Assists with organization of warehouse storage space.
• Responsible for kitting parts to production, and Batch Build Traveler.
• Participates in quality system audits.
• Perform job duties in compliance with Hokanson Quality Management System (ISO 13485 and FDA CFR 820 compliant).

Skills & Requirements

• You must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a production environment.
• Working knowledge of production planning and material requirements planning for batch processes.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience working in a regulated industry and/or with medical products is a plus.
• Demonstrable proficiency with ERP system.
• Ability to remain well organized, and keep inventory stores organized.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a daily basis.

This position is on-site, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Starting wage: $28 - $31 per hour, depending on your prior experience.
