Composite Development Technician

Description: 

ENG- Perform composite prototype fabrication, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities using specialized equipment and engineering documentation. Operate fabrication equipment, prepare composite materials, and support experimental builds while documenting test results and maintaining calibration standards. Conduct work in a research and development environment supporting experimental composite programs.

#Education & Job Requirements
*Minimum of Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of work-related experience

*Experience performing composite development and experimental prototype fabrication
*Demonstrated ability to construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain composite-related equipment and tooling
*Experience preparing custom resin systems, hardeners, and curing solutions
*Knowledge of composite lay-up schematics and engineering drawings
*Able to follow written and verbal technical instructions
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Job Duties & Functions
*Construct composite prototypes and experimental assemblies
*Troubleshoot composite-related equipment, tooling, and prototype components
*Calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain laboratory equipment
*Operate specialized composite fabrication equipment
*Conduct experimental builds and testing activities
*Report test data using prescribed formats
*Perform calibration and alignment checks
*Adjust, modify, and replace components as directed
*Prepare custom resin systems, hardeners, and curing solutions
*Work from composite lay-up schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions
