House Supervisor Registered Nurse - Nursing Administration - Part Time - Rotating

House Supervisor Registered Nurse - Nursing Administration - Part Time - Rotating Shift: 2-12 Hour Rotating Shift. Available to work either 7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am, every other weekend and holiday rotation. Department: Nursing Administration, Hospital: Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital, Location: Southfield, MI. General Summary Supervises and coordinates unit staffing and provides leadership while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care in the assigned area. Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift. Contributes to or performs performance evaluations of staff. Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring population‑appropriate care. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels. Provides input for hiring, training, directing, development, and evaluating of staff. Education & Experience Required Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Minimum 3 years of experience in a more responsible leadership role in a clinical setting. Knowledge of quality management and service excellence. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to develop and maintain a wide variety of cooperative working relationships, provide instruction to associates and convey information clearly and consistently through excellent written and verbal communication. Certification & License Required Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. ACLS/BLS certification.
