Field Service Technician

Job Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting Nitrogen Generation Systems at customer sites. The role requires strong technical knowledge of high-pressure gas systems, pneumatics, and air compressors. Thetechnician must ensure high-quality service delivery, adhere to preventive maintenance schedules, and manage parts inventory efficiently. This position involves extensive travel within the U.S. and occasional international travel, with a focus on safety, quality, andcustomer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, commission, and troubleshoot Nitrogen Generation Systems andrelated machinery.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and testing, recording quality checks perestablished procedures.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues, including working with controlsystems, I/O modules, servo amplifiers, and electrical components.
• Provide basic operational and safety guidance to customers regarding nitrogensystems.
• Complete detailed service reports for each job performed.
• Manage parts inventory and ensure proper documentation of all service activities.
• Work at customer locations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to high standards of qualityand safety.

To succeed, you will need

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience field service of large machinery, machine toolinstallation, repair or preventative maintenance.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and CAD drawings.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically from Monday through Friday, includingovernight stays within the U.S., with occasional international travel when required.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently.
  Physical Requirements:
• Capable of lifting and carrying parts or equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
• Able to perform tasks in confined spaces and in various environmental conditions(indoor/outdoor, varying temperatures, exposure to dust/noise).
• Extended periods of physical activity during installation, maintenance, andtroubleshooting.
• Must wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, harnesses) as required.
• Ability to work safely in potentially hazardous environments, including electricalhazards and moving machinery

Work Environment & Conditions:

• Field-based role requiring extensive travel and on-site customer interaction.
• Exposure to loud noises, bright laser lights, and physical hazards.
• Work hours may vary, including evenings and weekends, depending on serviceneeds.
• The position requires that you must be able to park a company issued, branded service vehicle at your place of residence without any restrictions.

This position requires a person who is comfortable working independently in diverseenvironments, often at heights or confined spaces, and who can handle physical demandsassociated with on-site service work. The ability to maintain professionalism, safety, andtechnical excellence in all situations is essential for success in this role.

  • $32hr - $40hr. Salary based on knowledge, skills, and experience, $66,560-$83,200 anually.Salary has been geographically adjusted based on cost-of-living factors. This position is overtime eligible and overtime begins after completing 8 work hours in a day.
