Franchise Location: Des Moines, IA Medical Assistant (Part Time) We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Medi-Weightloss of West Des Moines. Experience with insurance and VOB, as well as exercise knowledge, is a plus. Administrative Duties Answer and route multi-line phone systems Conduct follow-up calls to discuss patient progress Refer complex requests to appropriate staff member Maintain a friendly patient environment and uphold service standards Monitor daily inventory of clinical and office supplies Scan and upload patient documents Train staff on daily procedures when requested Support clinic marketing efforts to promote profitability Clinical Duties (varied Based On Credentials) Obtain vitals, EKG, and perform phlebotomy Administer IM injections Prepare laboratory orders and retrieve results Assist physicians with patient referrals Document patient progress notes in EMR Conduct follow-up calls on patient progress Perform other clinical duties as required Requirements Medical Assistant certification Front office experience, including insurance and VOB knowledge Clinical experience in EKG and phlebotomy Preferred: training in exercise Strong communication and interpersonal skills Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Medi-Weightloss® Woodbridge VA
