Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations, as well as for team meetings, training opportunities, and relationship building. This role reports to the Finance and Accounting Senior Manager.Position SummaryWorking closely with the accounting manager, analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports relating to financial activities and billing for the Atlanta office. Coordinates with A/P department on projects as assigned.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess ad hoc reports requested by the client, billing attorney, or accounting managerPrepare standard monthly financial reports as directed by the accounting managerProcess expenses for office credit cardsMaintain engagement letters for annual audit; request engagement letters for new clients monthlyMonthly review and closing of client matters with no activityReconciling vendor statements, research, and correct discrepanciesAssist with review and processing vendor invoicesOrganize and process payments for bar duesMaintain house accounts at local restaurantsProcess petty cash and reconciliationAnswer general accounting questionsAssist with various administrative tasks within the department as neededQualificationsSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskPossess strong analytical skills supported by advance Excel skills and the ability to convey detailed information to others in a concise mannerExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressureSelf-starter with ability to successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demandsStrong sense of urgency, takes ownership of work product, high customer service level, resilience, and a can-do attitudePosition also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlinesEducation & Prior ExperienceCollege degree in Accounting or Finance preferredCandidate will have 1-2 years' experience of general accounting from a legal or service-related industryTechnologyExperience with special applications (Concur, Aderant) preferredProficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required.GT is an EEO employer with an inclusive workplace committed to merit-based consideration and review without regard to an individual's race, sex, or other protected characteristics and to the principles of non-discrimination on any protected basis.
