Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience treating orthopedic and occasional neurological conditions on a day shift schedule (TX PT license required if applicable).

Details

• Outpatient setting treating chronic, acute, and post-op orthopedic conditions with occasional neurological cases
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• TX PT license required if applicable
• Hand Therapy and Manual Therapy skills preferred
• PTA certification preferred
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, sprains, and degenerative conditions
• Experience with modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, cryotherapy, and traction
• Skilled in gait training, therapeutic exercise, and patient assessment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation of assessments, goals, and discharge plans
• Utilizes adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and manual therapy techniques as part of patient care
• Provides patient and family education on home exercise programs and safety
• First-time travelers accepted for this role
• Previous facility staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved at time of consideration
• Candidates residing within certain nearby counties are not accepted for this position
