Responsibilities Dover Behavioral Health is a mental health facility located in Dover, DE. Our treatment center provides mental health and addiction treatment services to individuals from Delaware, Maryland, and most other states throughout the US. All who turn to us for assistance will find a helping hand and a compassionate heart. Full Time Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a Full Time Admissions Counselor. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering high quality assessment and admissions services to the public. This position is Full Time and includes a benefits package with medical, dental, vision, retirement, vacation pay and more! Key Responsibilities include: Perform comprehensive psychiatric and/or chemical dependency assessments, crisis intervention, professional advice and assistance with disposition of a psychiatric or CD problem or situation, which may or may not include admission to any DBHS Program Provide service to a variety of customer groups, including but not limited to: physicians, allied health professionals, hospital emergency departments, convenience care centers, other health care providers, schools, social services and mental health agencies, police, courts, employers and the public at large Respond to telephone, off-site, and face-to-face inquiries seeking mental health care or information about mental health related services.
