Overview: Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Mini Load Picking Lead, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Mini Load Picking department. When an order is placed by a branch you will pick the requested quantity using a small parts automated goods to person system. Then, pack the order, print a label with a routing number and send the product to the next department, Sortation. You will provide guidance to ensure operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time. Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and training team members
• Communicating with employees and branches
• Picking orders and packing product using a small parts automated goods to person system
• Operating computer programs, scanners and printers to label product
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

Required Position Qualifications: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

• Possess prior work experience in warehouse, distribution, operations or industrial sales
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of computer operations, including oper1, WMS and Microsoft Office Applications
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
