Procurement Specialist I - Primoris Energy Services - Sherman, Texas

Job Overview:Job Summary**The Procurement Specialist I is responsible for supporting the procurement process for Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas. This entry-level role involves assisting with purchasing activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for operations.Job Responsibilities*** Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.* Source new vendors and suppliers, and maintain a database of approved vendors.* Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers for standard materials and services under supervision.* Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any delivery discrepancies.* Communicate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and specifications.* Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.* Assist in conducting market research to identify new products, services, and potential cost savings.* Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.* Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.* Participate in inventory management activities as required.Job Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.* 0-2 years of experience in procurement or a related supply chain role.* Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.* Experience with procurement software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and technologies.* Valid driver's license may be required.Company Overview:Primoris Energy Services is a major direct-hire contractor in the U.S. delivering self-performed turnkey industrial construction and EPC services.
