Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist in Matawan, NJ. Work schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and similar studies. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Travel to additional sites when needed. Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1.5 years or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency if no prior experience. Proven record of exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.00 per hour, based on skills and experience. Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (or flexible time off), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary staff are only eligible for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except paid or flexible time off. Work Environment Phlebotomists will work in either a Patient Service Center or client office. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, skilled specimen collection, and serving as the company’s front‑line representative.
