Role Description The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our NYC store, with a focus on driving sales, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and maintaining a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere. This person will help lead and motivate the store team, maintain strong operational standards, and take ownership of the store when the Store Manager is not present. Full-time position In-person schedule (Must be available to work in NYC store) Works closely with store manager, store associates, and operations team Compensation — $65,000 to $70,000 Benefits — Company sponsored health benefitsand paid time off (PTO) Responsibilities Sales and Store Performance Support the Store Manager in achieving weekly and monthly sales goals. Monitor store performance, including sales, traffic, conversion, and other key KPIs. Identify opportunities to improve sales and customer experience. Motivate the team throughout the day and help maintain a sales-driven store environment. Customer Experience and Community Deliver a welcoming, knowledgeable, and personalized customer experience. Build relationships with customers and help develop repeat and VIP clientele. Ensure the team can confidently communicate the brand's story, products, history, and ethos. Support in-store events and activations that strengthen the store's connection to the local community. Team Leadership and Development Support the Store Manager in training, coaching, and developing store associates. Provide ongoing feedback and help ensure the team maintains strong customer service and brand standards. Help create a collaborative, accountable, and positive store culture. Lead by example on the sales floor and step in wherever needed. Take ownership of the store and team when the Store Manager is not present. Store Operations Support daily store operations, including opening and closing, POS procedures, cash handling, inventory, and store maintenance. Maintain accurate inventory and assist with regular inventory counts and audits. Help ensure operational processes and store procedures are consistently followed. Troubleshoot day-to-day store issues and communicate larger operational needs to the Store Manager and operations team. Communication and Team Coordination Maintain clear communication with the Store Manager and broader team regarding store performance, customer feedback, inventory needs, and operational issues. Proactively identify store needs and opportunities for improvement. Coordinate with marketing, operations, and creative teams as needed. Occasionally assist with capturing photos or videos of in-store activities for social media and internal use. Events and Brand Initiatives Support the Store Manager and marketing team with in-store events, activations, partnerships, and product launches. Help ensure events are executed smoothly and reflect the brand's identity. Engage with customers and the local community to help increase awareness, traffic, and sales. Store Presentation and Maintenance Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store at all times. Support visual merchandising and ensure product presentation meets brand standards. Lead by example by tackling tasks directly when needed and fostering a culture of shared responsibility.
