Aerie - Merchandising Team Leader (Assistant Manager)

Overview As the full‑time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader's "go-to" in developing and implementing the Merchandising strategy for the store. You train and coach your team into great merchants delivering AEO brand visual standards every day. Through your leadership, your team nails floorset execution, and rocks merchandising and marketing brand standards. You ensure the store is always "guest ready" through effective replenishment, while representing the company values and bringing your real self to work every day. Responsibilities Drive sales as a key LOD by maximizing fitting room and salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience. Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and contribute to the store’s overall financial success. Collaborate with the Store Team Leader in developing short‑term and long‑term business plans to drive key KPIs. Lead day‑to‑day merchandising, sell‑through adjustments and replenishment to keep the store representative of AEO Brand Standards. Motivate and inspire the team through AEO's core values, hold them accountable to customer service standards, especially on the salesfloor and in the fitting room. Recruit and hire strong talent and prioritize training and development so the team continually provides outstanding service. Provide ongoing performance feedback, conduct development plans and performance reviews, and celebrate team achievements. Execute and innovate daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards, and keep fitting rooms guest‑ready and brand‑compliant. Maintain store safety and asset protection standards, adhere to AEO policies and procedures, and act with integrity. Qualifications Passion for AE and Aerie products. Previous retail management experience leading teams. Strong multitasking, attention to detail, priority‑setting and time‑management skills. Ability to lead and develop teams with a general understanding of employment law. Business acumen. Flexible availability to work during guest shopping hours.
