Bus DriverTransport children safely to/from school and other approved destinations. Make sure wheelchairs, seat belts, car seats, and booster seats are installed correctly. Assist with students with special needs as necessary.Essential Functions:Transport students for the assigned schoolsProperly check vehicle and report any deficienciesMaintain route information and associated paperworkWork with building principals to maintain student disciplineQualifications:High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) – proof requiredCLD with School Bus endorsementCurrent Bus Driver CertificationSuccessful FBI & BCII background check in accordance with Board of Education Policy and the applicable ORCAdditional Working Conditions:Frequent exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissueFrequent interaction among unruly childrenOccasional extensive sitting, up to 2 hours at a timeOccasional requirement to stand and walkFrequent requirement to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, read, hear, and see (occasional color vision required)Occasional requirement to lift and carry up to a maximum of 65 poundsOccasional requirement to push and pull up to a maximum of 300 pounds (on wheels)Occasional overtime work will be requested and expected of the employeeThis job description is subject to change and in no manner states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by the incumbent.
