A contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide maternity leave coverage in an education-focused environment near Simpsonville, SC. This assignment will span from approximately February 16th, 2027, to May 14th, 2027, providing full-time hours (37.5 per week) across multiple elementary school campuses. You’ll collaborate closely with an Occupational Therapist to offer direct therapy to students within a supportive school community.

Key Qualifications:

• Must hold an active COTA license in South Carolina.
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience is highly preferred.
• Confident in managing a daily caseload of 9-10 students, providing primarily 30-minute therapy sessions.
• Committed to fostering growth and independence in children within the educational setting.
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and organizational skills.

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective occupational therapy interventions to elementary-aged students.
• Consult and collaborate with the supervising OT and education staff at each assigned school.
• Accurately document student progress and therapy outcomes according to school protocols.
• Rotate between several school locations, ensuring continuity of care for students on your caseload.
• Maintain compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional standards related to therapy in a school setting.
