Job Title: Loader Operator Job Description

The Loader Operator safely operates heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials such as ash, dirt, rock, and sand within an industrial environment. This role focuses on building and maintaining stockpiles, moving materials to designated areas, and performing daily equipment inspections while strictly following safety procedures and environmental regulations.

• Operate loaders and other heavy equipment to safely load, unload, and transport materials including ash, dirt, rock, sand, and similar aggregates.
• Build, shape, and maintain material stockpiles to meet operational requirements and ensure site efficiency.
• Move materials to designated areas according to work instructions and project specifications.
• Conduct thorough daily inspections of loaders and related equipment to identify and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Perform basic equipment checks such as monitoring fluid levels, tires, and safety features before and after use.
• Follow all company safety procedures, site rules, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate material movement and equipment usage.
• Respond promptly to changing work priorities and adapt equipment operation to meet project needs.
• Report any incidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.

• Proven experience operating loaders and heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of safe loading, unloading, and material transport practices.
• Ability to build and maintain stockpiles and move materials efficiently to designated areas.
• Capability to perform daily equipment inspections and identify potential mechanical or safety issues.
• Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards, supported by OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience working in construction or industrial environments with heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators.
• Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and environmental regulations consistently.
• Physical ability to climb in and out of equipment and sit for extended periods during long shifts.
• Reliability to work a structured schedule that includes long shifts and consecutive workdays.

• OSHA 10 certification.
• Experience as a heavy equipment operator, particularly with loaders and excavators.
• Background in construction operations involving loading and material handling.
• Comfort working around industrial plants and environmental contracting projects.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with site teams and supervisors.

This role is based at an industrial plant environment where you will work outdoors and around heavy equipment in hot conditions. You must be comfortable working in the heat and climbing in and out of equipment throughout the shift. The position involves sitting for long periods while operating loaders and other heavy machinery. The schedule follows a rotating pattern from Wednesday to Tuesday, with seven consecutive days on followed by seven days off and then four days the next week. Shifts are 12 hours per day, typically from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., requiring stamina and a strong commitment to safety and operational discipline in an industrial setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Louisville,KY.
