Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room, including preoperative and postoperative assessment, monitoring, and recovery support.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and efficient case flow.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures while adhering to patient safety guidelines and evidence-based practices.
• Triage and respond to changes in patient status, coordinating with the broader care team to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about the care plan, postoperative instructions, and wound care; uphold HIPAA and participate in a Just Culture environment.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or another compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Ability to work in an operating room/perioperative setting within a short-term acute care environment
• HIPAA compliance and professional conduct aligned with patient-centered care
