Truck Driver CDL A Solo Regional

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Rockford, IL. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Compensation and Schedule Hours per week: 50 or more hours Pay rates: $0.60 per mile for 2000 miles per week; $26.00 per stop for 15 stops per week; $40.00 per diem per night for 1–2 nights per week. Paid training. Schedule options: Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday; start times AM/PM shifts available. Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 at 30 days and $1,500 at 90 days. Loyalty bonus: $2,500 at 6 months and $2,500 at 1 year. Route and Equipment Delivery to IL, WI, IA, OH, MI, IN, KS, NE, MN, ND, SD & KY. Regional route. Tractor type: Day Cab. Trailer type: Dry Van 31'-53'. Equipment: Electric & Manual Pallet Jack. Ryder will train you on all required equipment. Freight: Touch – Hardware Supplies. Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire. Ryder will reimburse endorsement costs and provide training. Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days. 80 hours PTO your first year, starting Day 1. Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Pass a Ryder drug test. Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position. ClassA experience: 9 months within past 3 years, or 2 years within last 5 years, or 5 years within last 10 years. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures. Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check; road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned. Responsibilities Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards, maintaining accurate records and logs. Loading/unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading as required by customer.
