Shift Leaders are responsible for maintaining an organization’s high performance, quality and safety standards and guaranteeing satisfaction. A Shift Leader performs leadership, management, and organization tasks to ensure team members work efficiently and effectively during their shift. This position plays a critical role in managing our team dynamic in an effort to maintain a high-energy atmosphere inside the Judgement Free Zone.Skills RequiredCustomer Service: Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills by interacting with customers, including coworkers and the public, in a manner that consistently exceeds expectations and addresses their needs.Communication: Practices active listening by fully engaging with customers, showing empathy, understanding their perspectives, and collaborating to find effective solutions.Problem Solving: Identifies and defines issues clearly, analyzes relevant information, explores alternative solutions, and develops appropriate action plans. Seek guidance when necessary to ensure the best outcomes.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOrganizing shift schedules for team members.Monitoring attendance, tardiness, and time off.Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills.Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessary.Supervise performance and sharing feedback with both upper management and team members.Training new and current team members on tasks.Handling customer issues and managing conflicts.Adhering to company policies and health, safety and employment standards.Upholding integrity and security with member documents and sensitive information always.Managing club cleanliness and maintenance to ensure all aspects of the club are in like new condition.Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals in compliance with our PCI policy.Physical DemandsAbility to stand for extended periods during shiftsFrequent walking throughout the facilityOccasional lifting and carrying of items up to 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodationReaching, bending, and kneeling as needed for stocking and cleaning tasksAbility to work in a busy, noisy fitness environmentWill occasionally use or be around standard cleaning products; appropriate safety procedures and protective equipment are providedFor a copy of Flynn Group’s Workplace Privacy Notice, please visit Group is an equal opportunity employer.
