Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location: Northeast Kingdom, Vermont

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Nights, three 12-hour shifts per week. 7 pm - 7 am. Must be able to cover mid-shifts as needed.

Job Description: The Emergency Department has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse. In this fast-paced position, the ER RN provides direct care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialties as required, and adjusts the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care. Working well under pressure, our RNs collaborate with other health team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care processes as necessary.
• Collaborate with other health team members for effective patient care.
• Manage the nursing care process in a busy Emergency Medicine environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current VT or compact multi-state RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 3 years of ER RN experience is required.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Meditech or ability to learn quickly.
