Contract | Days | 4x10-hour shifts with varied weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients across all surgical specialties, including ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and Interventional Radiology cases
• Manage high-acuity patients in an 18-bay and 14-bay Phase I PACU environment operating across two floors within a trauma center
• Maintain ASPAN nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1 as appropriate to patient acuity
• Utilize Epic charting, AcuDose medication dispensing, Philips monitors, ventilators, and BiPAP equipment
• Care for an average of 5–15 pediatric patients per day in addition to adult surgical patients
• May float between campuses to support Phase I PACU coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota RN license (or compact eligibility)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS — all American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
• Experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds); outpatient surgery center experience alone is not a match
• Ability to care for pediatric patients and high-acuity patient populations
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Critical care or ICU background
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and AcuDose medication dispensing systems
• Experience with ventilator and BiPAP management in a post-anesthesia setting
