Job Summary:
This Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Garden City, Kansas, within a facility that provides comprehensive emergency care services. The role involves working during night shifts of 11.5 hours, with a minimum guarantee of 34.5 hours per week. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves float responsibilities within a designated zone, and successful candidates will participate in a facility-specific orientation.

Job Details:

• Location: Garden City, KS (401 E Spruce St)
• Shift: Night shifts, 11.5 hours, every other weekend, every other holiday
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 34.5 hours
• Required Qualifications:: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, TNCC; 2 years of ER experience; Kansas nursing license; ability to read and interpret tele monitoring strips; capable of performing Point of Care lab testing; proficient with electronic medical records (EPIC); must bring license on first day
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common ER drips, standard medications, and emergency procedures; ability to perform ABG, breathing treatments, and EKGs; familiarity with ER operations and flow support staff roles
• Additional Information:
  • Float within Zone 4, which covers multiple ERs around Garden City, KS
  • First float assignment will be communicated on or before the Monday start date
  • Orientation duration is 2-3 days in-state prior to start date
  • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
  • Performs various clinical and operational responsibilities including assisting nurses, supporting triage, and performing Point of Care testing
