Quality Inspector - Metal Fabricator

Overview We are seeking a Quality Inspector- Metal Fabricator to become an integral part of our team! The ideal candidate arrives for work on time and is receptive to learning. We have team members with 40+ years tenure as well as multigeneration. Responsibilities Follow processes as defined in procedures manual. Inspect parts and materials at all levels of production. Verify flat layouts meet drawing requirements. Inform supervisor of workload status and document any issues encountered. Keep work area neat, clean, and well organized to promote safety and efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned. Prioritize workload and multitask in a dynamic fast-paced environment. Complete all required paperwork and checklists. Track, clean and calibrate inspection equipment. Communicate with all levels of management, production, suppliers, and customers. Completes assigned projects in allotted time with high quality. Assist in the development of work instructions and specification sheets in order to achieve product that meets customer specifications. Demonstrate good judgment and decision making. Knowledge base of a wide variety of different manufacturing processes. Able to read drawings and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Track and calibrate inspection equipment Able to read and follow technical manuals and instructions. Proficient at using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, protractors and other tools and gages. Able to identify, document, and obtain disposition of non conformances per the Quality Manual. Able to follow directions and work well without direct supervision. Able to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
