Key Responsibilities

• Operate MRI imaging and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images across various body areas, including advanced study areas.
• Interview and educate patients on MRI procedures, addressing concerns with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications and proper aseptic injection technique.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers regarding imaging studies and patient needs.
• Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, and coils) to minimize downtime and maintain continuity of patient care.
• Train and provide direction to new technologists and patient coordinators as an experienced onsite team member.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT (R) certification required.
• BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Venipuncture Certification required.
• State licensure as required by applicable regulations.
• Valid state driver's license as applicable.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (MR) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Technical proficiency operating GE 1.5T or other designated vendor scanning equipment, with ability to run advanced MR studies independently.
