Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, gathering and documenting client history from initial consultations through to treatment completion. \n
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans addressing the unique needs of each client, carefully considering individuals, couples, families, and groups. \n
- Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster effective communication and healing. \n
- Monitor client progress over the course of treatment, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. \n
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients. \n
- Provide ongoing support to family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage mental health challenges. \n
- Identify behaviors that may impede recovery and work actively to address these issues through personalized interventions. \n
- Manage client referrals to specialists when necessary, ensuring continuity of care throughout the treatment process. \n
You will work with a diverse range of clients, each presenting with various mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. The client population includes individuals seeking help for anxiety, depression, relational conflict, trauma, and addiction, among other concerns. With telehealth being a modern solution, you can reach clients who might otherwise face barriers in accessing mental health services.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas. \n
- A requisite passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate documentation and client management. \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on empathy and understanding, crucial for effective counseling. \n
- A solid understanding of the intersection between physical health, emotional well-being, and addiction issues. \n

- Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, preferably with telehealth experience. \n
- Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on client health and treatment. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills paired with a compassionate approach to client care. \n
