What You Bring to the Role:

• Two years of fraud investigation experience within a financial institution.
• Experience handling fraud cases involving debit/credit cards, ACH transactions, checks, digital banking, or identity theft.
• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures.
• Basic understanding of fraud-related regulations preferred or willingness to learn.

A Preview of What Joining Us as a Fraud Specialist Looks Like

The Fraud Specialist I is responsible for investigating fraud claims across multiple channels, including card transactions, ACH activity, checks, digital banking, and identity theft cases. This role ensures investigations are completed accurately and within regulatory timelines while providing clear communication and support to members throughout the process.

Fraud Specialist I team members perform account actions such as provisional credits, account closures, card reissues, and fraud flags while maintaining complete and audit-ready documentation. The role also works closely with Operations, Member Services, Compliance, and other internal partners to resolve fraud-related issues and improve fraud-prevention efforts.
