Our benefit package is designed to positively impact all aspects of your life; to help you and your family succeed; and to maintain our status as a “perfect job.” Come find out what Anritsu has to offer you!As a Hardware Development Engineer based in Morgan Hill, CA you will have responsibility for design and development of circuits for our state of the art test and measurement instrumentation.Key Responsibilities include:Designing and Developing high performance microwave frequency synthesizersDeveloping and communicating frequency tuning and amplitude leveling algorithms to team membersAnalog/RF and Mixed-Signal board circuit design and developmentTranslation high-level instrument specifications into performance requirements at the module levelCreating block diagrams and schematics of designs from project requirementsPerform system calculations where necessary such as NF, TOI, phase noise, and power consumptionRF and microwave circuits and systems designManaging necessary PCB layouts and mechanical portions of designPrototype bring-up and debugging, and functional verificationDeveloping test specifications from test data and assisting product transition to manufacturingThis position will be reporting to the Project Manager based in Morgan Hill, CARequirements:BSEE, MSEE or equivalent technical experience8+ years of experience in design of Analog/RF and Mixed-Signal circuits and systemsExperience designing frequency synthesizers at microwave frequenciesDesign experience with Phase-locked loops, Frequency Conversion, Filters, A/D and D/A convertersExperience with low phase noise architectures, design methodologies, and measurement techniquesExperience with developing frequency plansExperience with DDS based referencesExperience with spur prediction and spur dodging techniquesExperience with FM, PM, AM implementationsSkilled in designing lumped and distributed filtersSkilled in developing Automatic Level Control (ALC) systemsSkilled in the operations of microwave test equipment such as Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Synthesizers Experience with broadband RF and microwave systemsExperience with digital designs requiring moderate clock rates a plusAdept in hands-on troubleshooting of analog and RF circuitsExpert working experience with schematic entry and PCB design toolsProficient with simulators such as SPICE and Microwave Office (or similar)Experience with CST and HFSS a plusIn order to be successful in this role, the following competencies and behavior skills are required:Strong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentAbility to clearly communicate hardware requirements and functionalities to software engineersAble to work independentlySelf-starter and quick learnerBalancing theory, experience and practice to solve technical problemsThe annual base salary range for this position is $180,000 - $240,000.
