Description:Looking for locum coverage in Medical Oncology.Dates of coverage: November 2 - January 29.Clinic coverage hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Weekend call rotation is from Friday (4:30 p.m.) to Monday (8 a.m.), every 5th or 6th weekend.Practice setting is a free-standing cancer center.The call schedule is one week out of every 6 to 8 weeks.Patient population includes adults and geriatrics.Coverage is required due to the loss of a provider.The practice consists of 65% benign hematology and 35% malignant oncology.There are 7 physicians in the practice and 6 APPs providing coverage.The average number of patients per day in the outpatient setting is 25.For the hospital setting (call/rounding), the average number of patients per day is 20.The clinical area involves oncology in both outpatient and inpatient settings.Documentation system used is EPIC.Required duties include participation on a tumor board, management of bone marrow transplants, blood bank management, ordering tests, imaging, and prescribing.Administration of chemotherapy is done by a nurse oncologist.Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60 days.Facility reimbursement is available for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage.Inpatient coverage is a requirement for this position.Candidates who are not willing to participate in inpatient coverage will not be considered.Providers must be able to treat more than 12 patients per day.Outpatient and inpatient services are separate; a provider will not cover both on the same day.Previous work experience at the facility must be disclosed.
