General Maintenance Technician

Responsible for completing maintenance requests and repairs to upkeep the Mystic Seaport Museum.


This position Duties of the General Maintainer shall include:

• Perform routine maintenance and general carpentry on buildings.
• Performs interior and exterior painting
• Use power tools and other equipment for building and grounds maintenance
• Perform various groundskeeping maintenance
• Perform set-up and breakdown services for special events. Such services may include delivery and erection of tents; and delivery and set-up of tables and chairs
• Provide manual labor support to other Facilities Management as assigned.
• Winter Operations support during snow removal
• Trash collection
• Gutter cleaning

Requirements

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver's license
• Be capable of lifting 75 pounds
• Be able to perform work from a ladder
• Must be able to work outside in inclement weather both cold and hot
• Skills using power tools and equipment desired

Salary Description


$22 per hour
