JOB SUMMARY: The Seafood Clerk is responsible for preparing fish and seafood for general purchase by cutting, cleaning, and trimming down fish. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Ensures area is clean, fish tanks are full and free of sleeper Ensures all products are properly signed and all product is rotated correctly Certifies products received throughout the day Washes all dishes and utensils thoroughly Other duties as assigned by management EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma, GED equivalent required Experience working in a meat and/or seafood department, a plus Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in seafood departments. Bilingual in English and Spanish KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required for satisfactory performance. Detail oriented Read and write English/Spanish Follow instructions, Comfortable using knives safely and efficiently PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS: The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met or successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
