Reports to: General Manager

Summary of Duties

The Service Area Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing all service work performed in the assigned area. The service manager has service technicians, dispatchers, and administrators as direct reports. The service manager is responsible for the financial performance and customer satisfaction within the assigned area.

Passion for customer service, collaborative problem solving, tact and integrity are essential to this position. 

Duties Include:

· Achieve annual revenue, gross margin budgets and operating margin budgets.

· Managing all direct reports and recruiting for new hires.

· Coach and develop future leaders

· Ensure accountability to individual performance metrics and customer satisfaction

· Developing and maintaining key customer relationships throughout the customer’s organization.

· Working with other service team leaders to insure optimal delivery of services to all Maxair customers.

· Working with Maxair sales team to price, win and manage large service projects and preventive maintenance opportunities in assigned area.

· Working with Maxair project managers to price, win and manage large service projects in assigned area.

· Serve as backup to other service team leaders.

· Evaluating and approving all invoices generated for assigned area

· Resolving customer concerns and complaints in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.

· Supporting company efforts to collect on past due accounts receivables.

· Developing and maintaining familiarity with all Maxair and industry offerings.

· Maintaining and improving leadership skills via self-study, seminars, etc.

· Maintaining a liaison with product representatives and local suppliers to stay abreast of product lines, promotions, trends, etc.

Job Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology or other applicable field---Technical field experience may substitute for formal degree

· Ability to represent Maxair in front of current and prospective customers.

• Excellent phone, written and interpersonal skills.

· Working knowledge of basic HVAC and plumbing operations and suppliers.

· Ability to work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery within budget 

· Fluent with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

· Current driver’s license.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in a drug free workplace.

Compensation and Benefit Summary

· Roughly $100-150k Annual salary (this includes quarterly bonus) + vehicle allowance (Bonus plan details to be shared in writing upon hire)

· 15 Days paid time off annually starting 1st January of employment---Pro-rated during year of hire

· Seven paid holidays per year: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & day after, Christmas Day
