Special Procedures Tech

Job Description Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Special Procedures Technologist for the SBCH Cardiac Cath Lab department responsible for operating radiography and other equipment and assisting physicians as necessary to complete procedures in interventional radiology/EP/Cath Lab patients of all ages. Operates patient monitoring and other equipment related to procedures. Qualifications Education Minimum: Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Minimum: Valid California Radiologic Technologist certification. Valid California Fluoroscopy certification. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred: ARRT registered. Advanced Life Support certification. Technical Requirements Knowledge of radiology theories and practices. Ability to use specialized radiology and other healthcare equipment. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, vascular anatomy and physiology, special procedures equipment, exams, possible complications, and the ability to respond appropriately. Years of Related Work Experience Preferred: 2 years performing interventional radiology exams in a hospital environment similar to Cottage Hospital.
