Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (HVTI)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity stepdown/IMC/PCU setting focused on cardiovascular and thoracic patients
• Float as needed to additional units to care for the same patient population
• Perform ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation, with an acceptable passing score required on both
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or directly related specialty
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a cardiovascular or thoracic stepdown environment
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety protocols
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or high-acuity setting
