Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (LDRP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an LDRP unit encompassing Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery
• Manage and monitor patients through SVD, cesarean section, OB triage, nonstress testing, and inductions
• Perform fetal monitoring and interventions, including management of hemorrhage and hypertensive crisis (pre-eclampsia/eclampsia)
• Deliver postpartum couplet care and newborn care within a Level 1 Nursery setting
• Utilize facility EHR and equipment including GE Centricity Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring, Omnicell, Baxter Pumps, and Masimo Monitors
• Float to other departments (including Med/Surg and Psych units) as needed based on patient census and departmental needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in Nevada
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring
• Demonstrated experience with SVD (no VBAC), cesarean section, OB triage, postpartum care, nursery, hemorrhage management, and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with antepartum and intrapartum patient populations
• Familiarity with Centricity/MEDHOST EHR systems
• Experience managing neonatal hyperbilirubinemia
• Knowledgeable, flexible, team-oriented, and hardworking personality with ability to adapt to a dynamic unit environment
