Claims Examiner, Auto - Bodily Injury

Analyze and process complex bodily injury auto and commercial transportation claims Review coverage, complete investigations, determine liability, and evaluate damages Process complex commercial and personal line auto claims, including bodily injury Properly document and code claim files Manage the litigation process for litigated claims Coordinate vendor management and use independent adjusters during investigations Report large claims to excess carriers Develop and maintain action plans to meet state-required contact deadlines Pursue subrogation and risk transfer opportunities Secure and dispose of salvage Communicate claim actions and processing with insureds, clients, and agents or brokers Support the organization's quality programs Perform other assigned duties Requirements Five (5) years of claims management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience In-depth knowledge of personal and commercial line auto policies, coverages, principles, and laws Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products Ability to work in a team environment Secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the position Computer keyboarding ability Hearing, vision, and talking abilities Clear and conceptual thinking ability Excellent judgment and discretion Ability to meet deadlines Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred Professional certification as applicable to the line of business preferred Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in analyzing and processing complex bodily injury auto and commercial transportation claims, with a strong focus on coverage review, liability determination, and damage evaluation.
