Field Service Technician

Job Opportunity in Cranberry Township, PA

Join our team in Cranberry Township, PA, a vibrant community known for its excellent quality of life and proximity to Pittsburgh. As a factory-trained Field Service Technician, you will provide specialized machinery repairs to customers and end users.

Essential Functions

• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment.
• Conduct field service calls for new product start-up and equipment repairs.
• Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, online networks, and in person.
• Communicate with customers to troubleshoot and help them understand product usage.
• Address customer issues related to product usage.
• Handle requests for replacing defective parts.
• Collaborate with programmers and engineers on system and machine issues, ensuring fixes are received and tested.
• Complete, maintain, and process relevant paperwork and records.
• Assist in final testing of new products to meet quality requirements.
• Travel is required - 50%.

Required Education and Experience

• Technical Degree preferred with 1 - 3 years of related experience in a similar industry, or equivalent experience and training.

Competencies

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce essential written reports.
• High-level technical evaluation skills used in troubleshooting.
• Good deductive reasoning skills applied to mechanical and electrical functions.
